For the holiday weekend, we headed up the mountain to ShowLow and Big Lake. The boys had a great time and so did Bill and I. It was a lot of work to get ready, but once we were there, it was pretty relaxing. We didn't do much - the boys played and we also fished a few times. The lake was walking distance from our campsite, which was very convenient. Ben didn't catch a fish, but Bill and Luis (his friend from work who was there with his wife Paula) rented a boat one afternoon and Bill got 4 fish - we promptly cooked them over the campfire later and yuuummy!! In my opinion, there are two really good things about camping - snacking and the campfire. Sleeping...hmm..in a sleeping bag in a tent...not so comfy - I couldn't wait to get back to my own bed! Lots of photos, but here are a few. The dog is Paula's doggie - she had two cute fur babies!
