Ben is 8 years old today! For his birthday, this Memorial Day, we are hanging out and he's enjoying his new Wii game, his new DSI! He also got some books and a cool new hat. He got some other nice gifts from Nana and Papa and Granny. Ben is having a sleep-over party next Saturday night with his 3 cousins and 3 friends. Should be a lot of fun!!
In honor of Ben, here are some cool things about him:
* He's great with his brother Alex.
* He's the kids everyone wants to be around. His cousins all love playing with him! He has lots of friends at school.
* He worked really hard in his second grade this year. He's really focusing on his work and we are so proud. He got all "outstandings" on his last report card and also received the highest honor in his class - the Warrior Pride Award!
* Ben and I read together in his bed almost every night. That time with Ben and Mommy is special to both of us. He likes me to lay with him while he starts to fall asleep.
* He loves to play all kinds of imaginary games. He also loves to play DS and Wii, but also just likes jumping on the trampoline and running around with Alex and his cousins.
* Ben loves watermelon, ice cream, apples, pudding and lobster. Not all together necessarily!
* Ben is such a great kid and I tease him that I wish he was still 3! We also laugh that he will hate Bill and I in a few years when he is a teenager! I hope not!!
