Many of you know this, but Lynn and I volunteer at St. Timothy's Conference of St. Vincent de Paul. We take turns doing "intake calls" on Wednesday mornings. We've been involved for over 2 years now. It's very rewarding and also heartbreakingly hard. So many people are really hurting in this economy and they have so little. We help with a home visit, a shoulder to cry on, prayers, food boxes and sometimes financial assistance with rent or utilities. With Lynn and I, one of us will go into the office and the other has the kids. Today Lynn went in and I watched Alex and Bella. With the weather being so nice, we went out into my back yard to play. The kids were amazingly getting along great today - no real crying fits from Bella (sometimes she just can't take Alex!) and they had a great time. Here are some cute photos.
