F-O-R-E !!

I got Ben, my adorable but non-sports participating son, to agree to 4 lessons of golf through the City program. Lizzy also signed up. Ben is enjoying it, I think. He looks good out there. Not sure if he will take up the game of golf, but at least he got to try it. I think if he just tries a bunch of different things, he may eventually find what he really likes. He is good at sports, he picks up things relatively quickly, I think he just doesn't want to make the effort. He doesn't want to fail. Good thing he has a persistent mom who keeps signing him up for things he really doesn't want to do! It's good for him! Anyways, here are some photos from yesterday, their third lesson.

A Fun Day Off

Monday the kids had off from school..due to it being MLK Day...so we decided to make it an "in the backyard day"...since it was about 75 degrees out, after all! We had Lynn's kids and Tamra dropped Nick off to play too...we played on the swings, jumped on the trampoline, did a Valentine's craft and had a Connect 4 Tourney....all in all, it was a good day and the kids got some fresh air.

Hot Damn - we're going to the Super Bowl!!

I'm so caught up in "Cardinals Fever"!!! While not being a Huge Fan - I've always followed the Cardinals season and have rooted for them since I've been back in Phoenix since '94 - - but wow! I never expected them to be in the Super Bowl! It was so much fun watching the game yesterday! I was at a candle show and we had the game on and we were cheering and hollering and since they were winning, everyone was in a great mood and buying candles - which is always good! Then I got to Lynn's house for the last 2 minutes of the game and got to celebrate with Lynn and the gang! What an exciting time for Arizona - - now I have to go out and buy shirts for me and the boys! Wouldn't it be something if we won the SuperBowl???? GOOOOOO Cards!!!!!!

Weekend with Markie

This weekend we have my 5 year old nephew Markie....should be fun....him and Ben get along great, but he does have the typical 5-year old whiney moments. Lynn, Mark and Lizzy went to Vegas so Liz could participate in a gymnastics meet. Good luck Lizzy! Nancy offered to take Bella for the weekend, so she is probably having her own brand of fun tonight. Here is a photo of the boys having their snacks before bed. We'll see how it goes tomorrow - we have to be out of the house before 8:00, which is 25 minutes earlier than we normally leave. Need to get Markie to school, Ben to school, then Alex has therapy later in the morning. Hope I can coordinate and adjust being a (temporary) mommy of 3 boys!

Ben's First Time Skiing!

Bill took Ben skiing in Snowbowl yesterday. They left about 5:45 a.m. and got back around 9:30 last night - -they had an exhasting but fun day! You know how hard it is to get information out of a 7 year old boy and a husband - but from what I gathered, Ben really got the hang of skiing and by the end of the day was looking like a bunny hill expert! They are planning to go back in two weeks before the snow melts! It's good to see Ben excited about a sport! Of course, Bill brought the camera with him and took all of two photos - none of which are on skiis!!! MEN!!

My Sister Lynn

She just cracks me up!! She does too much - making pomegranate jelly from scratch today! This crazy woman has three kids and many pets and a husband and a full-time job and makes jelly from scratch! She also got me back to the gym yesterday and today after over a month away - -and she got me running on the treadmill too! Thanks Sis! You make me laugh and sigh with frustration sometimes but I actually think you're awesome (just don't tell anyone!).

Batter Blaster (organic too!)

This "pancake in a can stuff" is my favorite new thing! You get it at Costco - 3 cans of it are about $10. You just blast it out like whipped cream onto your electric pan and whala! - instant pancakes! You can see from the photos how much my kids love eating them! Easy peasy hot breakfast!
