Today Jen, Alex's Physical Therapist took her gymnastics students to Tempe Diablo Stadium to play and take a tour. The weather couldn't have been better with a nice amount of cloud cover to keep us from dying of heat. She had water balloons too, which helped keep us cool. Jen always has fun events planned in the summer when the gym is closed for their break in July. The boys had a great time! Thanks Jen!

We're Swimming, We're Swimming
Here are some photos of Ben's swim lessons at Kiwanas pool in Tempe. Ben is doing so well, he knows the crawl, backstroke and breaststroke now. The City lessons have been awesome for him. Alex started private lessons at Hubbard Swim School. He has really enjoyed it and has progressed so much in the past 2 1/2 months; the first lesson we went to, he didn't want to get in! Now he's so excited for the lesson and is kicking and reaching and floating! We have been swimming a few times at Lynn's pool and we'll be swimming in Sedona next week. I'll post some photos of Alex swimming soon!

Life In a Whole New Light
I was in Atlanta for 5 days last week for PartyLite's annual National Conference. I have to say, it was the best conference yet! We had some really great training and there was a leader summit two days before the conference started, which was a first and really great! My consultants were really inspired this year - two of them have comitted to leadership, which is really exciting for me! Also, for the first time, PartyLite announced a trip destination to Europe! A dream vacation, a Mediterranean Cruise to Italy, French Riviera, Monocco and Spain! Wow! I need to sell lots of candles and for the first time, Bill actually wants to go!! Here are some photos from the conference.

Ben's Night Out
Since school ended in May we have been promising Ben a special night out with just mom and dad. He did such a great job in second grade - he really made a great effort and his grades were excellent. Ben also went out of his "comfort zone" and joined Cub Scouts. He also showed a great effort with that, working through his "wolf" book to earn his badge. I was so proud of him this year and felt like he deserved a special treat. So...we finally did it last night! Alicia came over to watch Alex and we took Ben to see the Transformers movie. Then we went to Dave and Busters and had some food and played a lot of games. Our night didn't end until after 11:30 p.m. and Ben had a great time! The last picture is Ben been carried out of the Tempe Marketplace by Bill - he was so exhausted!

4th of July Camping Trip
For the holiday weekend, we headed up the mountain to ShowLow and Big Lake. The boys had a great time and so did Bill and I. It was a lot of work to get ready, but once we were there, it was pretty relaxing. We didn't do much - the boys played and we also fished a few times. The lake was walking distance from our campsite, which was very convenient. Ben didn't catch a fish, but Bill and Luis (his friend from work who was there with his wife Paula) rented a boat one afternoon and Bill got 4 fish - we promptly cooked them over the campfire later and yuuummy!! In my opinion, there are two really good things about camping - snacking and the campfire. Sleeping...hmm..in a sleeping bag in a tent...not so comfy - I couldn't wait to get back to my own bed! Lots of photos, but here are a few. The dog is Paula's doggie - she had two cute fur babies!
