All About Ben - a Guest Blog by Ben

By Ben:

Thanks I love: Lizzie saying she likes playing with me. Aunt Lynn listening to me. Sleepovers with Nicholas and Markie and all my friends. Playing Wii with Lizzie and Markie. Lizards. And watching ICarli and other stuff.
Things I hate: Bees, bees and bees. Did I say bees yet? Lizzie and Alex hitting me. Aunt Lynn not listening to me. I hate cleaning my room . When Lizzie is a scardy cat.
This is to Lizzie - if you're looking for Ben, press "1", if you're looking for Mommy, press "2", if you're looking for Alex press "3", if you're looking for Daddy, press "4" and if you're looking for watermelon, my Dad ate it!

Charli the Cat

This kitty has been hanging around our house for about a year! During the cold nights this winter, he used to come in the house thru the doggie door, but then run out when he would see me get up in the morning. This summer he started coming around more and more and now he lets me pet and hold him. He's a sweet kitty, I don't think he has a home. I named him Charli because I don't know if he's a boy or girl. He came on the bed the other night and let me pet him for a while - reminded me of Champ and I started tearing up. But it was good and nice. I'll take him in for some shots and update if he's a boy or what.

Soccer in the park

Since Alex started playing soccer in the AYSO league on Saturday, we decided to take the kids over to the park by our house to practice. I don't have photos of Alex playing on his team yet because Bill took the kids and the camera, but didn't take any photos...grr....! Ben also will be helping out on the team - they asked him to play goalie - so that was fun for him. Practicing was fun - I liked pretending it was actually September and not 100 degrees out, even though it was at 5:00 Sunday~

Labor Day Weekend Fun

Not much happening on Labor Day weekend - the weather was overcast and kinda rainy so we took the kids to Jeepers for the morning on Saturday. They are re-doing the place, so it's much nicer in there than it used to be. The kids went on all the rides and enjoyed a pizza lunch there. It was a great way to spend the rainy part of the holiday weekend.

I love my PartyLite business!

My holiday season is already in full swing - my hostesses are already jockying for dates on my October and November calendar! I love the holiday season and helping guests and hostesses decorate their homes with great smelling and burning candles and accessories. This bowl is my new favorite piece! I have so many hostesses booking shows to get it free - it's expensive, so if you like it, you have good taste! I am expecting to make some nice checks this season - last week's was over $600 and this weeks is about $550! Where else can you work when you want, as much as you want, meet new friends, get awesome stuff at a 50% discount, make money and run the business how you want with no initial investment?! This business has been a true blessing for me and I'm so glad I became involved with PartyLite! It's Fall for me now!!!

Ben & Karate

Ben started karate last week. It was his idea and he really wanted to try it. Ben was excited to see one of the girls from his school in the class - she and her grandma had been doing it for a while, so they showed him the ropes. It's twice a week and so far, so good. Ben is learning a lot and I can tell by the smile on his face during the class that he really likes it. It's exciting to watch Ben really enjoy an activity!
