Impromptu BBQ

Impromptu BBQ - the best kind! To celebrate Nancy's big raise at her work (yea Nan!), we got together at Lynn's for a BBQ and swimming. Carne Asada on the barbie and friends - that's all you need....well, that and beer.....By the way - my new favorite beer is Bud Light with Lime!! Yummmmmm.........

Science Camp Showcase

On Friday we got to go see what Ben and Lizzy were doing all week at Science Camp. Here are some of the photos. They made prototypes of inventions they thought up - Ben's problem he wanted to solve was Alex getting into his stuff. So he invented a box with a lid that only he would know the buttons to push that would open it. They learned so much and so did I at the showcase - - it takes 9 months to get to Mars, if you go the shortest way when the planet is closest to Earth! Wow! I had no idea! Anyways, the kids really enjoyed it, but Ben doesn't want to go next year because he "had to get up too early"....????

Camp Week

This week both boys have activities/day camps. Ben started Camp Invention - a science camp - he loves it!! He's doing it with Lizzy and they are both really enjoying it! Alex started is first VBS (or, vacation bible school) at St. Tim's. I think he likes it - - except today when I picked him up they told me he took a nap! I guess he was sitting on the floor with the other kids, listening to a song or story and just fell over and fell asleep! INAPPROPRIATE!! I was mortified, but the volunteers just laughed! I guess I'll bring him again tomorrow and see what happens! Oh, yeah, on Monday when I got there, he stripped off his shoes and shirt! Never a dull moment! Father's Day

Wow! Everyone looks sleepy in this photo! It's in the morning on Sunday when the kids gave Bill their gifts. He already got his big gift - a big tool chest thingy on wheels that he wanted - it was in the front seat of the car last week when he got home - it was too big for me to lift and get in the house. The surprise was ruined, but he was happy. The kids had some other things for him. I made a huge breakfast in the morning and let Bill do what makes him happy - - watching Battlestar Gallactica on TVO and going to Costco! What more could a Daddy ask for??!!

Bath Time

Bella was over last night while Mark took the 3 big kids to a park for a Lizzy family gymnastics event. Anyways, Alex got in the bath and soon Bella was trying to undress to join him....they were so cute together - they played great and Alex didn't even try to drown her! Yea! Don't tell Lynn, but we actually enjoyed playing with Alex and Bella last night! If she finds out....oh boy....we'll have Bella over a LOT MORE! So...keep it on the down low!

Week 3

It's Week 3 of Summer and we're hanging in
there! Here are the two of them during Alex's Music therapy class. You can't see Jay, the therapist, in this photo, but he's playing guitar and singing about a bear. So Alex and Ben got their bears so they could sing along! Therapy doesn't stop for the summer - so we're busy as ever getting him where he needs to be - we have gymnastics and speech today!

Pedi's With the Boys

A lazy afternoon doing pedicures with the boys! We all soaked our feet, put lotion on and applied polish - Markie went for a mulberry color and Ben did an icy blue. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but Markie and Ben's feet look Fabulous!
