Here are my boys!! I'm outnumbered! When the boys get older, I'll be overrun by testosterone! Ughh!!! The XY's are winning at my house!! I wanted to post some photos of Bill and the boys, since Bill's birthday is later this month and he's turning a BIG ONE!!! And I mean BIG!! Janet is taking the whole family, including Mike, Terri and the kids, to Disneyland this weekend, partly to celebrate Bill's BIG ONE!!!

Pinewood Derby
Ben took part in his Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby....Bill and Ben had a lot of fun designing and making the car - I think at one point Bill wouldn't let Ben touch the car - - it was pretty funny watching the boy in Bill come out! Last Saturday were the races - -Ben's car won a few heats, but in the end he didn't get to take home any trophies - but all the boys got an award for something and Ben got "sportiest car", which I think he thought was great. It was a great event and I am proud of Ben.

Alex's 5th Year celebration!
Alex is 5 - my sweet, active, red-haired little one is now 5!! He had a great birthday celebration...he knew it was his birthday - he kept saying "my birthday" and "my party". I think after 4 days, he now knows he's 5, not 4 and can answer with 5 when asked "how old are you?". Alex is such a joy and I just love to give him hugs and kisses. It's hard to believe he's starting kindergarden next fall! It's been such a joy to watch him become best buds with his cousin Bella and make new friends like Zachary at school and also Macy and Kendall at his daycare house. Everyone knows Alex and we like it that way! Happy Birthday my little one! The photos are from his party at Chuck E Cheese where he celebrated with his cousins and friend Zachary. Then on his actual birthday on Tuesday we had a family BBQ including the Phipps and Tamra and Nicholas.

Woody Doll
Alex and Woody sat down to watch a movie on Sunday morning. Alex's favorite toys are Buzz and Woody - not sure where Buzz was at the time of this photo. Alex will put on his cowboy boots and cowboy hat and play with Woody - too darn cute for words. Of course, he will watch Toy Story 1 or 2 any time of the day or night! Thank goodness for Pixar!!

My Big Guy
Ben has been on Spring Break this week. I think he has had a good week despite being on break one week earlier than his brother, and Markie and Lizzy. He got to go over to his BFF Evan's house on Monday and then Evan came here on Wednesday. On Tuesday just Ben and I got to hang out for a while. First, we rented a DS game and some movies, then we did the drive-in lunch at Sonic (Ben's pick). Then we went to pottery painting at "as you wish", again, Ben's choice. My vote was to go to the theater to see a movie! We get to pick our pieces up on Friday and maybe I'll do a post if they turned out cute! It's been a good break, Ben is such an easy kid and a good boy. We had a nice morning together today. After the gym (yes, I had to drag him there so I could work out) I did some work and he played the Wii - then we went over to Lynn's to help her since she was watching Jayna for June. Next week it's Alex's turn!

Ben's First Confession
Ben and Lizzy made their First Confession on Wednesday. They had a lot of preparation including their regular religious education class and extra meditations we attended. Ben was finally ready the week of the sacrament, even saying he was excited for his first confession. He jumped right in line when it was time and looked very angelic talking to the priest. After it was done he told me that it was easy and that it "actually felt good"! The white garments were what they had to wear right after their confession to signify the healing light of Jesus. I was so proud of both Ben and Lizzy!

A (WARM) day at the Zoo.
We had a family outing at the zoo on Saturday. The Sharing Down Syndrome was meeting at 10 a.m. and paying for the families to get in. That was nice since our membership ran out! Anyways, we got to see a few of the Down Syndrome families, which was great. However, the zoo is so big, we quickly all separated and tried to see all we could before it got to be 85 degrees. Alex and Ben had a great time. We saw the elephants, the giraffes, the tiger and lion (lion was sleeping), baboons, orangotagnes, the bear and lots of birds and oh, don't forget the petting zoo. We were there most of the morning and afternoon and were exhausted by the time we got on the 101 for the 1 hour + drive home....yes, the zoo is 10 minutes away, but the freeway was closed and we got stuck in a major jam-up. All in all, it was a great day!
