"Galileo"

Ben had a biography to write for his 3rd grade class. Today he has to give a speech and dress up like his person. He choose Galileo as his subject. I bet no other 3rd grader has ever done a report on Galileo!! But Ben wants to be a scientist so he picked Galileo. Ben had to dress up as his subject so Bill fashioned the boy a beard out of contruction paper and cotton balls and a rubberband to secure it! We used a robe Curt made Markie for Halloween a few years ago, and he made a telescope out of construction paper! Ben was very excited to give his speech and show his props and poster! Do you know much about Galileo? He lived 500 years ago! Galileo is considered the father of modern science and discovered many things including the themometer, and the discovery that the planets all go around the sun instead of the earth!
